0:00That front kick up the middle.0:02Oh my, that hurt him, man.0:04He's doing it again.0:05And again, the hesitation.0:06Oh!0:07He gets another highlight for the real Sean O'Malley.0:12Finishes Thomas Almeida.0:14Baby.0:15Alright, so here he is, the rising star, Sugar Sean O'Malley, 25 years of age, a perfect 3-0 in the UFC thus far.0:22I asked Sean, is this the ideal guy?0:24And he said, absolutely.0:25Absolutely, this is where I can prove something against a guy that has been in there, against everyone in the division.0:30There's a lot of energy when you're fighting him that you don't see when you're fighting other people.0:34Another thing that's taken into consideration about this fight is a small octagon.0:38We're in a 25-foot octagon, 5 feet smaller.0:41It'll allow Eddie Weiland to close that distance much easier.0:46Yeah, he says he wants to make it ugly and nasty, try to get inside.0:50He's got to be careful here, though, because when you're engaging O'Malley,0:52Look he's good with that. That's where O'Malley's good. Right whenever he's going in and out, in and out, he does a fan...0:58Oh!1:00The Wild Dog came out!1:02Super shot Oh my goodness Oh my goodness he slept in bed Out of nowhere And didn even bother following up Oh my goodness If I could quote Dana White if you don know now you know1:14It's time to buy stock in Sugar's Sean O'Malley.1:17I've said it, and I'll say it again.1:18I think I have the best striking in the MMA.1:22I know it sounds silly because I haven't fought that many guys,1:25but I'll continue to do this throughout my career.1:27Born in Montana, fighting out of Phoenix, Arizona,1:30is Sean O'Malley.1:31sixth UFC appearance for him.1:33Yesterday on the weigh-in show,1:34he was sitting next to the champion,1:35Al Jermaine Sterling, and said to him,1:38after I beat Thomas Almeida,1:39didn't you start talking about me again1:41in the conversation of elite bantamweight?1:43He's got a lot going on,1:45but a big fight tonight against a real dangerous guy1:48in Thomas Almeida.1:49Almeida needs to close the disc.1:52I cannot believe he's still standing.1:53Oh, and a follow-up left hand.1:55Fight continues, Almeida back up, but for how long?2:00I cannot believe Thomas Almeida is still standing up right now.2:03Since he's been back, he has shown that he's refreshed,2:06man, that he can take a shot.2:07And how about the toughness?2:08He eats that crippling right hand and immediately tries to get back into the fire Been outstruck unofficially on officially 82 with about a minute to go O looks crisp2:20That front kick up the middle.2:22Oh, that man hurt him bad.2:24He's doing it again.2:25And again, the hesitation.2:26Oh, oh, oh!2:28He gets another highlight for the real shot.2:31O'Malley finishes Thomas Almeida.2:34Maybe he should have stopped it.2:36Because that would not have been taken that punch.2:39Holy smoke! Wow! Wow!2:42He's gotta kick his leg. Like, I'm not an elite level striker. Like, I haven't had, you know, 30-some fights.2:47I know how to check the kick, so, um, yeah, I gotta prove to a lot of stupid people that they're stupid. It was nice.2:55Something that also comes natural for the Sugar Show is his accurate striking ability.3:00He credits a lifetime of athletics, a lot of drilling and repetition on the mids,3:05But he also gives the credit to video games specifically playing Call of Duty3:09Ultimately the reason people love him so much is not for just the character. He wins fights and he wins fights impressively3:25Amalia does a good job of jabbing you and pulling you in for the second shot3:29So he'll throw the jab, when he pulls it back he'll step in the range, he'll go 1-2.3:35That allows him to put a lot of guys out because you don't expect that second and third shot coming3:39right after he hits you with that hard jab.3:42I mean Alpha Male has produced some of the best lightweight fighters we have seen.3:48Big lead to the right for O'Malley.3:50And it's over for Conello.3:52Oh, he's done it.3:54Look at that desperation shot, Joe.3:56Pat is in real trouble.3:58Oh, my goodness.4:00Jason Herzog's taking the ball to the best.4:02Sugar shot O'Malley in round one.4:06Wow. Won the biggest test of his career, and he just got an A-blush.4:10Yeah, he smashed it.4:12Before I came here, Tim and I were watching a bunch of Conello highlights,4:15and I just, I wanted to put him up against the cage and tee off like that.4:18When I land those big shots, I'm going to take you out, and that's what happened.
